The Paralegal Technology program at Houston City College prepares students to support attorneys, courts, and legal organizations through research, document drafting, investigation, and administrative case management. Coursework covers legal research, pleadings, law office procedures, courthouse processes, and specialized areas of law, equipping graduates with the skills needed for entry-level paralegal roles.

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes, exploring how people think, feel, and act. Students examine topics such as learning, memory, perception, development, motivation, personality, stress, mental health, and social behavior. Through this broad curriculum, students gain insight into real-world issues including relationships, prejudice, trauma, workplace behavior, and overall well-being.

The Real Estate program at Houston City College provides students with the knowledge and specialized skills needed for a wide range of careers in the real estate industry. Students can prepare for roles in residential sales, commercial real estate, mortgage lending, inspection, and property management.

The Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) is a state-approved transfer degree that provides the first two years of coursework required for students pursuing Texas teacher certification. This program prepares future educators with foundational knowledge in teaching, learning, and child development and is designed for seamless transfer into a four-year bachelor’s degree leading to initial teacher certification.

The World Language Program at Houston City College offers instruction in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. Courses are designed to help students build practical communication skills, cultural understanding, and confidence in using the target language for real-world interactions, academic study, and global engagement.
