2025-2026 International Student Ambassadors

Hawa Moriba 2025-2026 International Student Ambassadors My name is Hawa Moriba, call me Zippy! I am an international student majoring in Paralegal Technology at Houston City College. I’m also the founder of Girls Aid Movement, a youth-led initiative focused on girls’ rights and empowerment. With a strong background in advocacy and leadership, I remain committed to supporting others especially fellow students through mentorship, collaboration, and community engagement.

Thuan Phu I’m an international student majoring in Mathematics Applied Science and currently serving as a Student Ambassador. Passionate about bridging cultures and building community, I enjoy supporting fellow students in navigating campus life, academic success, and personal growth.

Ruchita Bashyal Hi! I’m Ruchita, a Biology major from the breathtaking mountains of Nepal, now navigating life (and labs) at Houston City College. As your International Student Ambassador, I’m here to help you feel less lost and more connected—because I know exactly how it feels to be new.

When I’m not buried in anatomy textbooks, you’ll find me helping students, sharing campus tips, or hunting for the best snacks around. I believe in mixing education with a little humor, heart, and community spirit.

So if you ever need directions, encouragement, or just someone to laugh with—I’m your girl! Let’s make HCC feel like home, one conversation at a time.

I will do my best to be there for you and help with any needs or worries you might have.

Tina Diep Greeting international students, my name is Tina Diep, and I'm from Vietnam. I'm almost 21 years old, and I have stayed in the US for about 3 years. My major is civil engineering, and I plan to transfer to the University of Houston. I love to travel, hang out with friends, and assist people. Besides being an international student ambassador, I am also an honors student and VP of Scholarship of Phi Theta Kappa.
